Foreword

NASA – A Human Adventure tells the inspiring story of NASA’s incredible accomplishments in space exploration. The exhibition consists of almost 300 historically significant artifacts from the U.S. and U.S.S.R. space programs that are truly out of this world, as many have returned to Earth after travelling in space.

Most of the artifacts have been generously loaned to the exhibition from the Cosmosphere International Science Education Center and Space Museum and the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. I would like to thank these two fantastic institutions for their remarkable support.

NASA – A Human Adventure has toured the world since the onset of 2011. Our mission is to tell the remarkable history of NASA’s achievements to as many people as possible. We seek to inspire everyone to dream big and aim high, just like everyone in NASA has always done. It takes a great deal of skill, discipline, education and training to become a NASA engineer or an astronaut. We want to encourage the young generation to continue to take big steps to explore the world outside the Earth’s atmosphere. It is essential for all of us on this planet to keep exploring what lies beyond.

I invite you to experience NASA – A Human Adventure, the story of one of mankind’s greatest achievements. It is my sincerest wish that you have an enjoyable and memorable experience. May you be inspired by your journey through the remarkable history of manned space flight.

Welcome!
